Questions to ask your DJ!
Will you be the DJ at my Event?
Yes I will! I work alone meaning I do not contract DJ work out! So the person you are talking with, is the person doing your DJ/MC service. If I am booked for your day, I will refer you to another DJ service in our area.
How long have you been in the business?
I have been on my own for 2 years. I have worked with other DJ'S as there assistant for 2 years before that. It don't take 10 of experance to be a great DJ. I work with music daily, taking Ballroom Dance lessons and Guitar lessons. I use those talents for personal use. So I will not give dance lessons at your event or try to sing or play music.
How many events do I play in a year?
I am usually some where every week-end.Fridays and Saturdays. If not a private party like a wedding reception, Brithday parties, etc. I am at a club or bar. Some people may say "don't hire a bar DJ" Will consiser this. I am constantly asked to play new music. So my music library is updated weekly! I can see what people are dancing to or not! What music is clean and is not! Which bring me to,
Where do you buy your music?
I get my music mostly from walmart.com Some from I-Tunes. Special music like Dinner Music, Wedding Cermoney Music and a few other hard to get songs I buy the CD from a specialty shop on the web or local store. ALSO 90 % of my music is of the mp3 fromat. Meaning no skipping CD's

I have a great lighting package. I will set up for what will be appropriate for the room I am in! I have lots of great dance floor lighting and you will not be disappointed!
Is this your regular job?
No it is not! I work a as a customer representative and customer service for Valley National Gas. Working with a variety of different people.
How long does it take to set up?
My average set up time is 1 hour and another 25 minutes for sound checks. This is why I arrive at least 2 hours before the 1st guest arrrives. I do have 100% on site back up equipment! It is set up and ready to go!
How much do you charge?
My average rate for the day is 450.00 for a wedding reception. Receptions are considered unlimited. Meaning I play to the end of the party. All other parties are negotiable.
Are you insured?
Yes I am! I carry a liability insurance that protects the owner of the facility that I am in. Its a bad day when a DJ shows up to set up and the owner asks for prof of insurance and A DJ don't have it and he can't set up! I have heard of this, Never seen it. But I have been asked for insurance! I usely just submit a copy to the venue to remove all doubt.
Any other questions, Write them down and we can talk at a private consultation. Bring a note pad as well to write things down. I want you to be comfortable with our DJ choice.
